The term bookkeeper refers to a person who can complete a full set of books up to and including a trial balance. That is one of the services we perform.

We also:

• Set Up and Maintain a complete set of books according to the legal requirements of CRA and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts such as Bank Statements and Credit Card Statements
• Calculate and prepare Payroll, GST Remittances, PST Remittances, Corp Tax Installment Remittances and WCB Remittances
• Record and pay Accounts Payable, record and receipt Accounts Receivable
• Prepare Statistical and Financial Reports such as Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Cash Flow Statements
• Prepare a complete year end General Ledger report and forward it to your accountant, thus giving your accountant detailed accurate reporting and saving you money

We have developed an outline where all work that is performed for the client is done in a professional and confidential manner. All information supplied to Select Bookkeeping Services or acquired by us as a result of our work with the client is treated as strictly confidential.

We insure all calls, messages or emails are promptly returned. If we don’t have an immediate answer, we acknowledge receipt of their message and then contact the appropriate organizations to get the answers required by the client. We have a wonderful working relationship with several accountants. In this way we also increase our own knowledge base.

We maintain complete backup files of all client records after each session and there is always a copy off-site.
